AMY FORREST
Yakima City Council District 6
Reviving Roots. Reimagining Tomorrow.
Raised in the Yakima Valley, Amy Forrest has a deep affection for her hometown community. She fondly remembers when the streets of Yakima were bustling with business, people, and community events, and she wants to help the city thrive once more.
Amy decided to run for Yakima City Council because she saw the current leadership not doing enough. Vital community services were being cut, a ballooning budget deficit was emerging, and things were generally getting harder for families. Amy believes she can help solve these problems.
Amy has the drive, business experience and knowledge, and strong community connections to make real changes. She is a visionary leader with goals to bring economic growth and investment into our city. This will create more jobs and keep our city financially healthy, which in turn will protect important services like police and fire. Amy wants to help Yakima grow again and believes she is the leader who can make this happen.
